Today was a tad bit chilly when I went to class, but it's okay because Benji was there during class to warm my feet while he slept. I guess that's a pro, a con however, is that because he was on my feet, that meant I couldn't move my feet all during class because I didn't want to wake him or have cold feet. The sacrifices I make for my dog and warm feet! Then later today, we had our Behavior and Training class, our professor brought her dog to class to demonstrate how to train dogs using free shaping, luring, and prompting. I didn't know that the dog was going to be there, so when I showed up it was a surprise. Dianne, one of the other trainers, was sitting in the back of the room and offered to take Benji, I almost took her up on it, but I also recognized that was a good opportunity to train Benji. He did SUPER WELL!! At first, he was distracted, but then as the class went on, he paid more attention to me and even laid down all the way at one point, even while my professor's dog was off leash!! He did such an excellent job that he got a marrow bone when he got home!
