Yesterday was the day!! The week of preparation finally paid off. That's right, we went to the Minnesota Wild Game with the dogs. When we arrived, we took on ice photos with the dogs, we were literally ON THE ICE that the Wild skate on, it was really cool. We then went to go set up our booth and get ready for all the people coming in. We took a lap around the stadium to let the dogs just kind of relax before the masses came in and while we were doing that, people start to come in, but that's okay because we were able to tell people about our booth and direct them there. When we finally ventured back to the booth, we spent the next 2 hours telling all about assistance dogs and how we train them and letting people pet them. So many people would come over to me and say "I heard it's his birthday!" and then we would let people pet them because it was a great way to talk about the program and the dogs and the proper way to interact with assistance dogs. People were really interested about the diabetic alert aspect of the training. I then took him by the ice to watch a little bit of the game, which of course he loved. The night went so quickly with how many people were coming past the booth and talking to us, by the end of the night though, he was absolutely tuckered out, he slept the whole way home on Maddie's lap and slept really soundly last night. It was kind of funny and cute when we got home, all the sudden he got this second wind of energy and he was running around in the backyard playing with the hula hoop we have back there, but once we were back inside, he went to bed.

Today my little bug turns 1 year old, it's crazy to see how much he's grown in size and training in the past 7 months. I am so excited that he is able to celebrate his birthday at the Wild Game!!
