I'm not sure if I ever talked about Percy on here, but last year PawPADs took on a dog that they were hoping to make into a facility dog. However, they deemed him as a little too "weird" for the job, so they are career-changing him into a pet dog!! They are currently looking for someone to adopt this sweet sweet boy, so if you're interested please feel free to investigate him more here!
Here's his copied bio: "Percy is a truly good-looking, personable 3 year old beagle mix. He is healthy, neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, crate trained and house broken. He knows basic cues such as sit, down, stay, come, speak, wait, and shake. Percy has only been with PawPADs a few months as we were assessing him for placement in our School Resource Dog program. He is a smart, sweet dog but is a little too “wired” for the type of job we had hoped would be a good fit for him. Percy would do best in an active home or with someone who would like to do some different kind of training/classes with him – he’s eager to participate in everything. On the flipside, he also loves to snuggle in to watch TV or sleep in bed with someone. He does well with other dogs but will sometimes push their patience with his energy. It’s unknown how he would be with cats. He seems to be fine with children but would probably do best with older children."
